WHITSUNDAY BIG FREEZE IS BACK FOR 2026!

After an incredible first year, the Whitsunday Big Freeze is back for its second year, and this time we’re going even bigger.

On Saturday 24 October 2026, the Whitsunday community will come together at the Whitsunday Sportspark for a huge day of footy, fun and fundraising, all in support of FightMND.

This year, we’ve set ourselves 1 big goal:

$50,000 FOR FIGHTMND

From the Tropical Masters Cup and special guest Dane Swan, to local legends taking the plunge down the Big Freeze slide, it’s going to be a brilliant day for our community and an even better reason to get behind it.

Sportsman's Dinner with Dane Swan

Saturday 24 October | Club Whitsunday | 6:30pm

Finish an incredible day at the Whitsunday Big Freeze with our Sportsman’s Dinner at Club Whitsunday, featuring AFL great Dane Swan.

It’ll be a cracking night of great food, footy stories, laughs, live Q&A, auctions and fundraising, all supporting FightMND and our $50,000 fundraising goal.

Tropical Masters Cup

Footy, mateship and a whole lot of fun!

The Whitsunday Bald Eagles Tropical Masters Cup is back for 2026, and again they are teaming up with the Whitsunday Big Freeze for one seriously fun afternoon at Whitsunday Sportspark.

AFL great Dane Swan, Premiership Player and Brownlow Medallist, will pull on the boots and join the action, alongside Masters players from across the region.

Between games, the Big Freeze slide will fire up as our local legends take the plunge for FightMND.

1:50pm – First Big Freeze sliders take the plunge
2:00pm – Player Draft
2:45pm – First game
5:50pm – Footy wraps up
