DIRECTORS & KEY PERSONNEL
Tim Langford
DIRECTOR
I began my career in Hospitality Management in 2004, running a 1,600-capacity function and entertainment venue.
After moving to Airlie Beach, I managed Down Under Bar & Grill and gained gaming experience at Magnums (ALH) before becoming GM and co-owner of Paddy’s. I also oversee operations and finances at a hospitality venue in Toowoomba.
I previously served as President of the Airlie Beach Safe Night Precinct for four years and currently act as Treasurer. As a director, I assisted in opening Club Whitsunday and continue to support the board in various capacities.
Justin Butler
CHAIRMAN
I began my career in banking and finance in 1988 and became a qualified financial planner in 1991.
After leaving the bank in 2003 as Senior Business Adviser for Mackay & Whitsunday, my wife and I established Eclipse Financial Planning, now operating in the Whitsundays, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.
I have served on the management committee of the Whitsunday Sportspark since the late 2000s, leading the 10-year planning, fundraising, and construction of Club Whitsunday and the Sporting fields revamp, while building extensive knowledge of the hospitality and club sector.
Paul Murphy
DIRECTOR
I have been part of the Whitsunday community for the past 33 years, working in the landscape and irrigation industry, including 25 years with one company. Eight years ago, I purchased an irrigation, pumping, and outdoor power business, which I owned until recently.
During that time, I worked closely with the Whitsunday Sportspark, installing irrigation on new fields, upgrading the AFL field ring main, and maintaining equipment such as robotic mowers and whipper snippers.
Since retiring, I have focused on supporting community projects and continue to assist at Club Whitsunday and the Whitsunday Sportspark
Bob McMahon
DIRECTOR
I hold a Master’s in Business from Charles Sturt University and have over 40 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including more than 20 years in senior management roles within the health industry.
I have been responsible for multi-million-dollar budgets and leading large teams of staff, always aiming to deliver high-quality care and support. I have also served as a board member and chairperson for not-for-profit organisations, applying my experience to support community initiatives and help organisations succeed.
Craig Spence
