Supporting our Local Community
Club Whitsunday is proud to support local sport, community groups and not-for-profit organisations across the Whitsundays.
As a community club, fundraising is an important part of what we do. We’re proud to provide opportunities for local groups to raise funds, bring their supporters together and give back to our community.
Whether you’re part of a local sporting club, charity or community organisation, there are a few ways to get involved.
Wednesday & Sunday Raffles
Our Wednesday and Sunday raffles have a long history at Club Whitsunday and are an important fundraiser for our founding sporting organisations.
These sports have been part of the Whitsunday Sportspark precinct for many years and were part of the driving force behind establishing Club Whitsunday.
We also have a small number of opportunities throughout the year for other local charities and community organisations to join our Wednesday or Sunday raffles. Around 10 dates are available each year, so these tend to fill quickly.
Wednesday
- Raffles from 6.00pm
- Club draws and Members Draw follow
Sunday
- Raffles from 12.00 noon
- Club draws and Members Draw follow
Friday Fundraising
Friday afternoons at Club Whitsunday are about knocking off, catching up with your crew and starting the weekend in our Beer Garden.
Now they’re also a chance to support a local cause while you’re here.
Each Friday Fundraising opportunity gives an approved local community or not-for-profit organisation the chance to take over our Friday Knock Off sausage sizzle and raffle.
Here’s How It Works
Club Whitsunday provides the sausage sizzle.
Your volunteers:
- Fire up the BBQ in our Beer Garden from 3.00pm
- Cook and serve the sausage sizzle
- Collect gold coin donations for your organisation
- Chat with the Friday Knock Off crowd and share what your organisation is all about
All donations collected from the sausage sizzle go towards your fundraising.
Want to Raise a Little More?
Bring along a prize or two and run a raffle for your supporters and the Friday afternoon crowd.
Sell your tickets throughout the afternoon, with the raffle drawn at 5.00pm.
Invite your members, families, friends and supporters along, share it on your socials and make an afternoon of it.
We provide the food and the place. You bring the crew!

Before You Start
Have these handy:
- Your organisation details
- Evidence of your not-for-profit or community organisation status
- Your organisation’s bank account details
- Proof of the bank account details
Once we’ve received your application, we’ll be in touch about available Friday dates.
Bring Your Crew!
The more people you bring along, the more fun you’ll have and the more you can raise.
Invite your members and supporters, share your Friday Fundraiser and encourage everyone to come down for a cold drink, a snag and a catch-up.
While they’re here, they can also join Club Whitsunday for just $5 per year, giving them access to member discounts, promotions and Members Draws.
